Celebrating the new bike track

First we went to the hall on a sunny day and some visitors came to the hall also they were the ones that bought the bikes for us and then the oldest person, Jordyn and the youngest person cut the cake for the whole school.
Then we went out the hall and Ms Petrus gave us bubbles and whistles. So we went down to the field so Tony can cut the red ribbon and the bikes went riding on the bike track and we blew the bubbles and the whistle.There were lots of children on the bikes.This little girl fell over and Moonlight was going fast on the bike and she was riding a big big bike. I was blowing the whistle and I was thinking that riding bikes are really fun. It was super duper fun. After morning tea we all got cake in room thirteen and Ms Petrus cut the cake in half, then Ms Petrus told us to line up to get our cake and the cake was so so yummy also Ms Petrus got icing on her hands from the cake also Ms Petrus got some icing on her keys too. HIWI THE KIWI THE EXPERT

One freezing cold morning Hiwi the kiwi came to
may road school one day they taught  may road
school some things about fishing and how to keep
yourself safe when you are on the boat going
fishing.The things that they taught may road
school was making sure that you always wear
a lifejacket because when you, go fishing there
might be a big wave that is coming towards the
boat the boat might go over the  big wave the
boat might turn over. The people who are in
the boat that have their lifejackets on the will
float, the might return to the the island and maybe
someone might be swimming and they will save
them, the people that did not have there lifejacket
on the might of sinked and drowned. Another thing
that they taught may road school is you are only
allowed to take a fish that is higher than (27 cm)
because if you catch a big fish that is more high
than between (30 and 27 cm) it might have eggs
and it might be pregnant  so you should let to go.

Using good Manners

This week in PB4L we were brushing up on our manners. 

These are our expected ways of responding to people-

We speak in a friendly way.

We greet people using their name and making eye contact

We say “please” and “thank you”

We say “excuse me” instead of pushing past someone

We listen politely when others are sharing their ideas/learning

We ask to borrow something, not just take it.  

We respect our own and other people’s property, including school property.

Kawa of Care

This year in Room 13 we are in a 1:1 digital class. This means that we access our learning from a class site. So we have to learn how to look after our chromebooks. Some of us will have our own chromebooks that we can take home, some of us will use the school chromebooks. Whichever chrombooks we use- we need to look after them and today Gerard can to give us a session about how to care for these chromebooks. Here are some of our ideas.
