Seeing sound
Wow another experiment- this time we were looking at how we can see sound. We used cling wrap over a plastic bowl and salt. When we hit the container next to the bowl- the salt on the cling wrap moved up and down.
We learnt that when you strike the metal container, it vibrates making the air particles vibrate too, moving the plastic wrap and therefore the rice. This is how we hear the spoon striking the metal container as well.
